“I Love and Live for Happy Endings …

Did you read my “About Me” page –   one of the last things I say on the page is:

“I love and live for happy endings …

The night is winding down, the dinner was delicious, you and I are cleaning up the dishes and making room on the table. We are tidying the kitchen, as well as prepping for the next round.

Dessert is next, now how about that for a happy ending!

I am not going to have any recipes in this post; I am displaying pictures of some of the desserts I made in the past.

Soon I will dedicate a full week to desserts and the recipes as well.

The truth is, I am not a baker or dessert maker, yet I had my share of good tries…

This is bark, or as my son calls it, crack, it is a chocolate pretzel stick bark. Bark, in general,  is very versatile and can be made however you wish.  My son and I made this together.

The bark was made with Ritz crackers, semi-sweet chocolate morsels, butter, sugar, and pretzel sticks – that is it!

It is dangerously delicious and must hide.

Crescent rolls filled with a cheesecake filling – so yummy….

Crescent rolls filled with Nutella… hmm

Ooey, gooey, sticky Monkey Bread…aaah! (Insert a sigh)

The picture above is my attempt at chocolate ganache mousse…so tasty!

How are we feeling; are you still with me? I don’t know about you but my endorphins are in high gear now.

The desserts all have different tastes and textures, and oddly enough, no two are ever the same. At the end of the evening, an array of desserts, in all their delicious glory along with coffee, tea, or maybe a cordial, is served.

This is a perfect time to wind down the evening. In the summer, if we are dining out in the backyard, we will have a fire going in the chiminea… yes, the kids will make their smores.

I had set up a basket in the backyard early today with some throws and blankets; if it is a breezy cool evening we can cozy-up with our drink, blanket, and dessert; while we watch the fire and linger… our talks are a bit quieter.

There’s no rush… you all can stay as long as you want; it’s fine by me.

Mangia, Mangia…No Talk!!!
